What is the Be Smoke Free Study?

This study is being done by the University of Arizona, West Virginia University, and the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, and is funded by the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health.

You will work with a trained quit coach over the phone using ways that have helped others quit smoking for good!

  • This study will compare two programs for helping people stop smoking:

    • One program uses behavior change techniques which are proven to be effective at helping people stop smoking.

    • The other program uses Guided Imagery (enhanced visualization) plus proven behavior change techniques to break the smoking habit. This study is the first of its kind to test the effectiveness of Guided Imagery to help people stop smoking.

  • Both programs include 4 weeks of nicotine patches or lozenges to overcome the addiction to smoking.

  • Get 6 coaching phone calls and 4 weeks of nicotine patches or lozenges at no cost. No insurance needed.

  • Get up to $100 for completing the study.
